Welcome

Welcome to the West Norfolk Branch of the Pony Club website.

Our branch was established in 1935 and now has 100+ members ranging from 4 – 21 yrs old and is part of Area 8. To see a map of our area and our main venues please click here.

We run a full annual programme of activities for all ages and abilities broadly organized into three age groups: Minis who are those on the lead rein and first ridden ranging from 4-10yrs old, Juniors ranging from 8-13 years old and Seniors 12-18 years old. We regularly enter Teams for the Area PC Competitions in Eventing, Dressage, Show Jumping and Tetrathalon and aim to educate our members on riding, pony care as well as having lots of fun.

The highlight of the year for most members is summer camp and everybody is encouraged to do badges and tests to promote knowledge of horse and pony care. Older members are encouraged to help the younger members assisting at rallies, some continuing with pony club into their twenties, taking the opportunity to develop their instruction skills in a supportive environment.

We are always delighted to welcome new members and their ponies so please don’t hesitate to call either myself or the Secretary to find out more about what we do and how to join.

All our activities are run by volunteers who give up their own time to organise events for your child’s enjoyment and without their time this would be impossible so please make sure that you thank them,  we do ask all parents to volunteer at rallies and events that we run over the year so please do let us know how and when you would like to help.
